Free tips, videos & recordings

Thank you for subscribing to my newsletter!
I'll be in touch periodically with tips, videos and recordings. But in the meanwhile if you go to my freebies page you can listen to a hypnotherapy recording right now if you like!

Who am I?

I’m a therapist, a writer, a trainer, a storyteller, a supervisor, and a poet... A born-again Yorkshire woman, raised in Surrey, now happily settled in Hebden Bridge. I love reading, sewing, movie-going (Picture House, not multiplex), steam trains, narrowboats, jazz (any era), and live music in small venues. Click 'more' for the official bit.

What I do

I’m keen for you to get results in the shortest possible time. In my experience change doesn’t need to be protracted or painful, however messy your back story is. I’ll help you to ditch the narrative that’s keeping you small, fearful, stuck or miserable so that you can make choices based on your potential, not old outdated patterns.

Why me?

My work with clients is different from many hypnotherapists and at times may seem a little unconventional. Of course, I'm always professional and respectful, but I work instinctively rather than prescriptively. There is no 'one size fits all' when working with human beings and my expertise lies in identifying what will work best for you.

What I Do

I work with clients whose self-talk is sabotaging their aspirations or sucking the joy out of their life. Maybe Imposter syndrome causes them to work longer and harder, but despite great achievements, they still fear being rumbled as a fraud. Or perhaps the fear of public speaking or talking in meetings leaves them sleep-deprived or sick to the pit, or even quitting a job they love.

I’m keen to help you get results in the shortest possible time. In my experience change doesn’t need to be protracted or painful, however messy your back story is. I don’t want to take your money to just listen and nod for weeks, months, or years; hopefully, you have got friends or family for tea and sympathy. Yes, I’ll provide tea (Yorkshire of course) and I’ll listen and ask you questions so that I can notice negative patterns or unhelpful beliefs and get a sense of where we need to do the work. Using a blend of hypnosis and other talking therapies, I help you to stop running your old script so that you can give fear the middle finger and reconnect with your brilliance.
I’ll help you to get your mojo back.

And that’s not all... You’ll learn techniques from me that you can use whenever you need them.

If you want to tell your head chatter to shut the hell up, book a free consultation to discover how I might help you. I’m not a fan of braggers or blaggers, so I’m not going to say I’m the best or guarantee this or that, but I’ve been doing this for a long while now and I’m a bit of a whizz at helping people sort out their shizz!

Don’t take my word for it...

I'd love to have a chat to see how I could help you. Call me on 01422 760344 or 07525 012221

"Today is the first day in months or maybe years that I’ve felt calm and happy!! It’s absolutely amazing (I’m sad to say it feels a bit strange!) but very nice. Thank you for listening and for being down to earth about my recent work challenges."

"Having tried several different therapies to help me with anxiety issues, traumatic stress and low self-esteem I found Lorraine’s approach not only incredibly effective, but also refreshingly honest, direct and practical. Her approach was different to anything I’d experienced before and helped me greatly."

A day in the life of the writing reader - National Read A Book Day

I grew up watching my older sister with her head in a book. Lying with her legs over the arm of the sofa or stretched out on her bed, she spent hour after hour absorbed in the classics. Inspired by Louisa M Alcott (Little Women is still her favourite book) and other female authors she transported herself from suburban Middlesex to ...Read More >
